Captain Cook Memorial Jet

This special feature on Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra was one of my favourite things to photograph partly because of the sheer size and but also the rainbow that was visible. I did a bit of research and found out that there is a 50 meter intake tunnel underground.  There are two pumps and each is able to pump water at 250 litres per second! Impressive! It is capable of squirting the water 147 meters into the air!118 Web

Across the Lake

Recently, Our family went on a holiday for three weeks to Canberra, Australia. While there,  I took lots of photos (as you can imagine)  including this bridge going over Lake Burley Griffin116 web

Specks of Light

This photo was taken in the late evening. It was around Christmas time so there were lot of pretty lights around. I lay on the ground on the grass and focused on the grass in front of me with the lights in the background. It made the lights which were further away very blurry. 4-1-14 Gum park 035 Specks of light

Out the way slow cars!

We went down and watch the Tour Down Under bike race go past at the end of our road and while we were  waiting for them, I shot (with the camera) this slow vehicle turnout sign.Tour down under goes past 005 website
