Black Beauty

While enjoying the view of Canberra from Mt Ainslie, I was distracted by this crow. It was quite tame and allowed me to come quite close to photograph it.392 web

This special feature on Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra was one of my favourite things to photograph partly because of the sheer size and but also the rainbow that was visible. I did a bit of research and found out that there is a 50 meter intake tunnel underground.  There are two pumps and each is able to pump water at 250 litres per second! Impressive! It is capable of squirting the water 147 meters into the air!118 Web
